Better Learning for Better Earning

Better
learning for better earning is a phrase John Chaplin is
experiencing on a daily basis as a result of several events that
fell into place. First, John is President of Minuteman Press in
Tampa Florida and a BNI Member of the BNI Phoenix Group in Tampa.
He was asked by his Executive Director to be part of the BNI
Networking Secrets test market for the new Car Coach CD®
networking curriculum released by del Fuego Companies at the
International Directors’ Conference in San Diego last week.
According to John, “The opportunity to be included in the test
market process was eye opening. It was the catalyst to convince me
to get more involved in my BNI Chapter. I am now the Education
Coordinator and will be highly touting the benefits of "better
learning for better earning."
BNI Networking Secrets is a 3 audio CD series that gives any
member, new and seasoned, the opportunity to learn directly from
Dr. Ivan Misner and Tom Fleming, Executive Director of Southwest
Florida. It’s been described as the way to cut six months off the
learning curve for new members and give seasoned members new
information and ideas they can use to “sharpen the saw.”
For John, BNI Networking Secrets has given him the specific
information to know how to take the next steps to be successful in
BNI. “I take every opportunity I can to absorb more information.
As I apply what I learned from Dr. Misner and Tom, I realize I’m
giving out more referrals than ever before, and whaddaya know, I'm
getting more referrals than ever before. I'm bringing guests, I'm
educating our members; I'm expanding my business.”
“The first CD in the series is really good because it sets up how
we can expect this curriculum to help us build our business and be
successful. Then the 2nd CD is awesome as Dr. Misner coaches us
through the BNI fundamentals that we can never lose sight of. He
refers to them as the wind sprints we have to continue to do to be
successful. And then the 3rd CD, Tom Fleming’s CD, gives the
specific ways we apply what Dr. Misner talks about on the first
two. The stories Tom shares and the examples he uses has given me
the information to know exactly how ask for a referral, for
example. Dr. Misner and Tom inspire me to go out and learn more
and help make my Chapter stronger through education. If you follow
the program, the program will follow you to success.”
"BNI has such incredible educational material all of us can
benefit from to grow our business. I’ve set goals to increase my
top line level revenue by 10% year over year and then to support
that, increase my referral business by 20%. I just checked my
progress and right now my business through referral is up by 35%
and my top line revenue by 20%. I attribute so much of my
increasing success to two things:
